01

The brief

One app for two things people already do informally: sharing a ride, and sending a parcel with someone who’s driving anyway.

Call My Car set out to formalise the intercity ride market on routes like Novi Sad to Belgrade — where seats in private cars are arranged over phone calls and group chats — and to add the second thing that travels the same way: parcels. The first screen asks which one you need.

The product design was supplied to us; our job was to build it: onboarding with optional ID verification, a ride marketplace with per-seat pricing, vehicle registration for drivers, and messaging between the two sides.

02

The approach

Trust features first, then the marketplace.

Because strangers share a car, onboarding takes an optional photo of both sides of an ID card for verification, and drivers register each vehicle with country of registration, plate, colour and photos. A ride listing shows the driver’s rating and age, the car — make, model, seats, colour, year — the driver’s preferences on pets, music and conversation, and how many seats are left.

Booking is a day strip with rides sorted by departure and priced per seat, a detail view with the route on a map and both pickup points named, and an Inbox Center with messages and notifications where the pickup gets settled in chat.

03

The outcome

A ride-and-parcel marketplace with the trust layer built in.

We delivered the mobile app end to end from the supplied designs: passenger and driver flows, ID capture, vehicle registration, ride search and booking, and in-app messaging.

The result is a marketplace where the things people used to ask over the phone — who’s driving, what car, is there room, can I bring a bag — are answered on the listing.
