Čuvajmo šume: Protecting Bosnia’s Forests with Technology
Citizen platform for reporting and tracking illegal logging across Bosnia

Illegal logging is one of Bosnia's biggest environmental threats. We built a way to report it.
The Initiative for Forests & Environment needed a tool any citizen could use — urban or rural, tech-savvy or not — to report suspicious logging activity directly to NGOs and authorities.
Reports had to be geo-tagged, secure, and triaged. The product had to be trustworthy enough that citizens would actually use it.
“Placeholder — replace with a real client quote. The kind of thing you wish every project would end with.”
The product, up close.

Human-centered design across web and mobile, with a back-office for the people who act on reports.
We ran workshops with activists and citizens to nail the reporting flow before writing code. The mobile app is lightweight by design — geo-tagging, photo upload, and a categorised complaint form in a flow short enough to use one-handed in a forest.
The web side extends the same flow to the browser, plus a back-office dashboard where NGOs review, track, and escalate reports.

A direct citizen-to-institution channel for forest protection.
The platform makes it materially harder for illegal logging to go unnoticed. Citizens have a fast, trusted way to participate; NGOs and authorities have a single triage queue instead of a dozen WhatsApp groups.
