EOS Wallet: A Mobile Wallet for the EOS Blockchain

EOS launched its mainnet in June 2018 with a resource model unlike other chains: holders stake tokens for CPU and network bandwidth, and staked tokens carry votes for up to 30 block producers. Most wallets at the time handled transfers and little else. LKnet, a London software agency and our partner on the project, supplied the design for a mobile wallet that covered the full loop; we built it.

Beyond EOS, the brief included a keychain: encrypted storage for Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO wallet keys in the same app.

Sign-in uses the device’s biometrics with a password fallback and an email reset. Keys are encrypted and stored on the phone; the keychain screen lists each saved wallet — bitcoin.guardian, ethereum.guardian, neo.guardian — with public and private keys exportable as QR codes, and a deliberately loud delete.

Each chain operation is a single screen. Transfer: available balance, recipient account, amount, memo. Stake: an amount and a slider that splits it between CPU and NET. Vote: the block-producer list with rank, vote share and location — EOS New York, EOS Canada, Starteos in Chengdu — up to 30 selections and one confirm. The transactions screen is a dated ledger of what went in and out.

The wallet shipped on both platforms with the full EOS loop — transfer, stake, vote — plus the keychain for BTC, ETH and NEO keys and biometric sign-in.

Built in 2018, months after the mainnet went live, it gave holders a phone-native way to do what most were still doing through desktop tools.
