Edwards Lifesciences: Event Operations Platform
A private platform where Edwards teams plan clinical-education events, route every document through approval, and send approved materials to print — behind the company's own Microsoft sign-in.

01
The brief
From event idea to printed material, one pipeline.
Edwards Lifesciences runs clinical-education events across regions — workshops, symposia, product trainings. Every one of them generates documents: agendas, certificates, surveys, follow-up emails. Each needs review before anything is produced. The brief was a single private platform that carries an event from first draft to approved, printed material.
02
The approach
Roles first — requesters, approvers, admins.
The portal is built around how approval actually works: requesters create events from templates and draft the documents; approvers review and sign off; admins manage templates, print orders, billing and administration. Sign-in is the company's own Microsoft account (Entra ID), so access follows the org chart. Under the hood it's a Next.js application acting as a backend-for-frontend over a .NET API.
03
The outcome
Draft, approve, print — inside one system.
Events, drafts, approvals, print orders, templates and billing live in one portal, with every document's status visible from draft to production. Delivered in 2026. The screenshots here show staged demo data.
